What It Does
Tab Completion helps you continue text directly in the editor.
When your cursor is inside a writing block, press Tab and Muses will generate a continuation preview based on nearby context.
How to Trigger
- Open any article in the editor.
- Place the cursor where you want to continue writing.
- Press
Tab(without Ctrl, Shift, Alt, or Command). - Wait for the preview text to appear.

Sentence vs Paragraph Completion
Muses picks the mode automatically based on whether the current block already has text.
- Sentence completion mode:
- Used when the current block has text before or after the cursor.
- The model completes only the current sentence.
- Paragraph completion mode:
- Used when the current block is empty.
- The model generates a full paragraph (typically 2-4 sentences).
There is no manual mode switch right now. Move the cursor to a non-empty or empty block to control which mode is used.
Accept / Cancel Controls
- Accept completion: press
SpaceorEnter. - Cancel completion: press
Esc. - If you keep typing regular characters while preview/loading is active, the completion is canceled automatically.
Best Use Cases
- Continue a sentence when you already know the direction.
- Expand a short paragraph into a clearer draft.
- Keep momentum when you feel stuck on wording.
- Smooth transitions between nearby paragraphs.
